Work Experience
I started my career doing project management for TransPerfect. Clients included SMEs and Fortune 500 companies in electronics, finance, and pharma. It was a job that paid the bills. While living and working in Barcelona.
While I was there, I met an interesting expat that did SEO and web development. Ah, that’s what I want to do! I got a certificate called Posicionamiento en buscadores (SEO-SEM), and moved to New York City.
I got hired at Catalyst/ Mindshare (WPP, one of the “Big Four” marketing companies) as an SEO specialist and later got promoted to SEO manager. Clients included Fortune 500 companies in the automobile and CPG (consumer packaged goods) industries.
Then, I worked for Ayima as an SEO consultant, doing SEO for a Fortune 500 telecom company as well as other clients in health and finance. The SEO work was a lot more technically driven, and I realized that I needed to learn web development to take my SEO skills further.
I decided that I wanted the sun back in my life, and moved to California where I still am now. I learned how to code, and got hired as a Digital Marketing Manager for Sound United. I led SEO, PPC (display, paid search, paid social media), email, digital analytics, and digital strategy for North America for Denon, Marantz, Polk Audio, Definitive Technology, HEOS, and Boston Acoustics.
The next job was at Brand Value Accelerator, where I was a Digital Marketing Strategist. I managed client communication and led digital marketing strategy for paid social and affiliate marketing.
Finally, I then worked for Onward as a Digital Marketing Director. I onboarded digital marketing clients, performed marketing research, and created marketing strategies. After a brief stint, I realized that it was time for me to work for myself and pursue my dream.
Now I am working on my own web projects while also providing web development and digital marketing services (especially SEO) to clients on the side.
