For a unique perspective on how corporations have drastically changed our behavior, I recommend reading Life Inc.: How the World Became a Corporation and How to Take It Back by Douglas Rushkoff. It was published in 2009. I’ll be honest: I only skimmed through the book, but I managed to jot down some interesting quotes. I do not agree with everything that Douglas Rushkoff says, but he does offer a refreshing view.
